Guest sentiment
A snapshot of what local diners frequently mention about this location.
"Absolutely delicious food. The rose buldak udon was fantastic and just the right amount of spice! The aburi was delicious, especially the gochuchang sauce. Will definitely be back!"
"The menu is huge, so I was a bit nervous at first — but wow, everything was amazing! Big portions and every single dish was delicious. We loved it so much we came back two days in a row. The makhoe is an absolute must-try! The chef is super friendly and welcoming. Even when the place gets busy or there are big orders, they never rush — you can really tell they take their time and put care into every dish. Food made with attention and heart. Love that. Hope this place keeps thriving!"
"On my previous visit, I arrived at 8:45 pm and was told the kitchen had already closed, which was disappointing as Google Maps showed the restaurant closing at 10:00 pm. However, after dining here today, I’d like to update my review. The staff were very polite and friendly, the food was good, and the portions were generous and filling. Overall, it offers great value for money and was a pleasant experience."
"Every time I pass by, there's a long queue. Today it was my turn to try this place. They have so many choices, and everything looks delicious. I ordered a few dishes, and wow! I was truly amazed! Every dish was so delicious, l like the vegetable tempura taste is SO SO GOOD , and they also have different drinks, including alcoholic beverages. It's a great place for a small gathering with friends, a wonderful atmosphere, and it's not far from home. I'll definitely come again next time because the food is just so good!"
"It was my first time there, and I tried five different dishes. My favourite was the sushi — a bit different from the usual Japanese style, but even tastier. The cold soba noodles had a strong kimchi flavour, which I really enjoyed. The udon was quite standard. The Korean-style raw fish came with seaweed rolls, which was something new for me. I wouldn’t recommend the fried octopus legs though."
"Love it! The price here is really good for the food quality. Their fish is actually yum. The cuts are thick so you can feel the flavour. I’m pretty picky with tuna, but this tuna here has impressed me. You gotta try tuna nirigi here. Agedashi tofu is even more surprised. Full of sauce and tons of shredded fish. I have never eaten agedashi tofu with this much shredded fish. There are two layers of shredded fish, one at the top and one at the bottom."
"I can’t say enough good things about this place. The owner and staff were so warm and friendly—they made me feel like a regular even though it was my first time. You can tell they genuinely care about their customers, and that kind of service is hard to find these days. The food was absolutely delicious. The flavors were so authentic, it reminded me of the meals I had in Korea. And the Korean-style thick-cut sashimi was some of the freshest I’ve ever had in Melbourne. Every piece was perfect, and I couldn’t get enough. So glad I found this local gem!!"
"Food was okay, we enjoyed the tempura platter but I personally really dislike seeing the prepackaged tempura prawns, which unfortunately were what they served. Overall, still not bad."
